It’s Hard To Let You Go

Thursday, January 22nd, 2009

It is a sad, sad day.  The time has come for us to wish Gary goodbye.  I wish him all the best with his new love.

*sniff*

Thanks to Watson for letting me play.

I’m Not Joking… Okay, Well Maybe I Am

Monday, January 19th, 2009

Our friend, Amy, is heading back to Massachusetts on Wednesday, and so we got together with her and some other friends Friday night.  As per usual, it involved food and some sort of game where we come up with ridiculous answers.  This particular night we had cheeseburgers, Boston cream pie and played The Joke Game.

Basically, the game gives you a question and you fill in the punch line.  Here are some from the other night.

Q: What do you call 20 female hippies in a sauna?

A: Trespassers

Q: You know you’re sexy when…

A: Justin Timberlake attempts to bring you back

Q: You know you’re lonely when…

A1: You go to get lemonade and the visiting Jehovah’s Witnesses escape through the window.

A2: You ring your own doorbell for the split second of hope it gives you.

Q: You know you’re in love with yourself when…

A: You’re not ashamed to kiss your own hand in public and throw in some thumb for tongue action.

Send In The Clowns

Oooooh… another robot video by Watson.  It’s even better than the last one (hard to do), and I only wish I could say that it is my writing, but when you see it, you’ll immediately know that it is most definitely not.  Watching it is pretty much my favorite part about today, and I had girl scout cookies.

Walk This Way

I recently got a pedometer that came with these instructions.  Let me just highlight a few favorite points:

  • Please press the “RESET” button key to clear all the numbers memory before start the measurement
  • For this precise instrument, please make sure to operate and maintain properly

And my personal favorite:

  • Breakable does not drop and wet

Justice Jam

Thursday, January 8th, 2009

It’s almost time!!

Next Saturday, Jan. 17th, is the Justice Jam at our church.   It’s a benefit concert to raise money for Love 146, an organization that works to stop sex trafficking.  Plus, it’s all kinds of awesome.

Church of the Resurrection, 13720 Roe - Student Center, 7pm

Suggested donation of $10, with proceeds going to Love 146.

You should come, because it’s going to be all sorts of goodness.  Waterdeep is going to play, and the president of Love 146 is going to speak.  A night to remember, for sure.

Merry Christmas/Boxing Day/New Year!!

Here’s my gift to you, another video by Watson.  I got to write it, and then he took the words and made them into cartoon magic.

It was my little shout out to the least used word of the top 86,800.
